How fit are you?

Are you physically fit?  Here are 5 indicators to help you determine. Being fit doesn't mean being free from diseases. Physical fitness is much more than that. Do you think of yourself as physically fit? You can use the following points to determine how fit you are physically.

Can you silently endure feelings of hunger?

Does everything seem blank when you are hungry?

Do you get irritated if food is not served on time?

The ability to endure the pangs of hunger is indeed a superhuman quality but if you make a little effort, you too can attain this quality.

Fasting is an effective way to train your body. Fasting for a day or two per week can make you mentally & physically alert and active and enhance your physical fitness. Does not sleeping for a day or two make you fall sick? For sound health, sleeping early and rising early has no alternative. But important things may come up and the cycle may break. Such as, studying late at night for exams working late for the office if passing a couple of sleepless nights like this makes you feel discomfort in the body

Then you have to pay attention to your fitness level. Hence you need to develop your body's shock-absorbing capacity. That is, take your physical fitness to a level such that sudden changes such as staying up late would not cause any adverse effects on your body. How long can you work continuously? Another important measure of physical fitness is the ability to work continuously and tirelessly for hours. If you look into the lives of successful people, you will observe that none of their work hours were 9-5.

Rather they worked around the clock. A good example of this is the missile man and the 11th president of India scientist A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. He never slept in the daytime and worked for 18 hours continuously. In his university life,  his project director had warned him once that his scholarship would be canceled if he could not complete his project within 3 days. For 3 days, Abdul Kalam worked continuously day and night to complete the project. He took only 1-hour break during this time. He finally succeeded, and his scholarship remained intact as well.

Do you often feel tired & drowsy? Often feeling tired or drowsy is the number one indicator of being physically unfit. One of the main reasons for this is lack of deep sleep at night and wrong food habits. Staying up late watching mobile/TV/laptop screens does not allow us to have proper sleep. Because the blue radiation from these devices prevents us from getting deep sleep. Also, eating too much sugar disturbs sleep. Because it hampers the production of orexin in the brain Orexin helps us stay awake.

Hence eating sugar results in sleepiness and tiredness. Do you often get sick? People who spend most of the year suffering from fever,  cold, cough, etc. are not hard to find If your body's immunity is weak then you are more likely to fall sick very easily. Weak immunity is a major indicator of the lack of physical fitness. As per specialists, if a person suffers from a cold 3 times a year, and s/he  takes longer to cure than normally expected then their immunity is very weak.

On the other hand, As per the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology if a person has to take antibiotics twice a year or if a minor bacterial attack results in severe symptoms then the person is suffering from a weak immune system in their body. Now that you have learned the indicators that determine your fitness level. If you are truly physically fit then Congratulations! But if that's not the case have no worries. Following a scientific food habit, taking proper care of the body, meditation, yoga & breathing practices can help you become physically fit!
